Additional info on bug/error

I realized that my previous message wasn't entirely clear. Notes 8.5 Beta 2 works and launches with no error if I install it on my C drive copy of Windows (XP). It yields the error I described at launch on every attempt to install it to Windows (Vista) running on the E drive. On both OS's, I have all the latest Service Packs and patches from MS.

In the testing I did attempting to get it to run w/o error, I believe (I confess I'm not 100% certain on this), Notes 7 worked fine on the E drive Windows, and 8.02 failed with the same error.

Based on all of this, I conclude this is a regression bug that was introduced in Notes 8. Having said that, given that I don't see other reports of this error, I do have a hard time believing that I'm the only person who wants to run Notes on a non-C drive copy of Windows. Is that so rare?

Is anyone else able to reproduce this error?
